Sal Removals moves homes and offices in Fulham, with our own crew and our own branded vans coming out from our yard in Kingsbury, north-west London. We work Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm. A one-bed flat is usually a morning for two movers, a three-bed house a full day for three, and almost every local move is finished inside the day.

What the price covers

Wrapping, loading, transport and putting things in the right room at the other end. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables and flat-pack come apart at the old address and go back together at the new one, with the fixings bagged and labelled by the crew who took them off. Blankets, straps and trolleys come with the van.

A one-bed flat is from £449, a two-bed from £699 and a three-bed house from £999. Below that a man and van is usually the cheaper answer: from £69 an hour with one man and £80 with two, on a two-hour minimum, which covers a studio, a single wardrobe or a car boot’s worth of boxes you would rather not do in four trips.

Access is what sets the day

Fulham addresses vary more than the bedroom count suggests, and access is what decides how long a load takes. Tell us at the survey whether there is a lift and whether it can be booked, how many flights there are and whether the stairs turn, how far the front door is from where a Luton can legally stand, and whether a building has a porter or a goods entrance with set hours. A first-floor flat with a straight staircase and a bay outside is a different job from a top floor with a half-landing turn, even if the contents are identical.

Where there is nowhere legal for the van, a bay suspension or a dispensation from the council is the answer. Fees and notice periods are set by the borough and change, so we check the current ones for your street rather than quoting a figure from last year, and we tell you which of the two is cheaper for a single van.

Packing, or just the boxes

Hand the packing over and full packing is from £199 for a one-bed, £299 for a two-bed and £399 for a three-bed house, or from £99 for the kitchen and fragile items only. Storage when the chain slips

Completion dates move, and when they do we load the flat, hold everything in storage and deliver when the keys are ready. Storage is containerised, from £20 + VAT a week per container, and you only pay for the containers you fill.

Clearing what you are not taking

Anything not going to the new address can go on the same visit rather than become a second job. A single room, garage or loft cleared is from £149 and a whole three-bed house from £749, and a rubbish load starts at £69 for one item. We are a registered waste carrier, number CBDL469340, so what we take is sorted for reuse and recycling and the rest goes to a licensed transfer station.
