This policy explains what personal information Sal Removals collects, why, and what your rights are. Sal Removals is the trading name of Salremovals Ltd, company number 13257143, 19 Uphill Drive, London NW9 0BU. Salremovals Ltd is the data controller for the information described here.

Information we collect

• What you send us. When you ask for a quote, call, email or book a job we collect your name, phone number, email address, the addresses involved and what you tell us about the items and the job.
• How the website is used. Only if you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads record which pages are visited and whether an advert led to a call, an email or a quote request. See our cookie policy.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information such as health details through the website.

Why we use it

• To prepare your quote and reply to you, which you ask us to do when you send the form.
• To plan and carry out your job, take payment and keep the records the law requires of a business, as part of our contract with you and our legal obligations.
• To keep the website working and stop spam, and, with your consent, to measure visits and advertising.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing emails or texts.

Who we share it with

Only with suppliers who need it to help us run the website and the business, and who must keep it secure:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores quote requests.
• Resend, which delivers the quote request email to our inbox.
• Google, for address suggestions when you type an address into the quote form, and for Analytics and Ads if you accept cookies.
• Our email provider, accountant and insurer where a job, payment or claim requires it.

Some of these suppliers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Quote requests sent through the website are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. Records of jobs we carry out, including invoices, are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to restrict that use, and withdraw your cookie consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Email info@salremovals.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
