Removals in Soho

Removals in Soho start from £449 for a one-bed flat and from £999 for a three-bed house, with office moves from £240. Narrow streets and timed loading are planned into the slot, not discovered on the day. Our own crew and vans, fully insured, Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Flat and office removals in Soho

Sal Removals moves flats, small offices and studios in Soho, with our own crew and our own branded vans out of our yard in Kingsbury, north-west London. We work Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm, and the timing of a Soho job matters as much as its size: a load that would take two hours in a quiet street can take twice that if it is booked into the wrong part of the day.

Everything starts with a free survey. For a flat a phone or video walkthrough is usually enough. We settle the volume, the access and the loading point, then give you a fixed written price.

What it costs

A studio is from £249, a one-bed flat from £449, a two-bed from £699 and a three-bed from £999. A small office is from £240 for up to ten desks and from £2,300 for ten to thirty. Below that, a man and van is from £69 an hour with one man and £80 with two, two hours minimum, which is what most single items and part loads need.

Loading, timing and access

The questions we ask before a Soho move are about the street and the stairs rather than the sofa. Where can a Luton van legally stop, and for how long. Is there a timed loading window on that stretch. Is the entrance shared with a business, and does it open before the business does. How many flights, and do the stairs turn. Is there a lift, and can it be booked.

With those answers the slot is planned rather than improvised. Where there is no legal place to load at all, the council can suspend a bay or issue a dispensation for one named vehicle. The fee and the notice period are set by the borough and revised regularly, so we check the current ones for the street when you book instead of quoting an old figure.

Packing, protection and IT

Full packing is from £199 for a one-bed, £299 for a two-bed and £399 for a three-bed, and kitchen and fragile items only is from £99. For an office, screens, docks and cables are boxed by desk and labelled, so a desk comes back together the way it went apart. Furniture is blanket-wrapped inside, not on the pavement, and boxes are marked by room or by desk. If you are packing yourself, boxes, tape and bubble wrap come beforehand, priced per pack.

Storage if the dates slip

Leases and completions rarely line up neatly. When they do not, everything goes from the van into sealed storage containers: storage is from £20 + VAT a week per container, with the same crew delivering it when you are ready.

Clearing what stays

Old desks, chairs, a sofa that is not going, the contents of a stockroom: all of it can go on the same visit. A single room, garage or loft cleared is from £149, a whole three-bed property from £749, and a rubbish load is from £69 for one item up to £329 for a full van. We are a registered waste carrier, number CBDU469343, so it is sorted for reuse and recycling and the remainder goes to a licensed transfer station. Our house clearance page covers a full property.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you move a flat above a bar or a restaurant?

Yes, and the timing matters more than usual. A morning slot avoids deliveries and trade at street level, and we will ask who holds the key to the shared entrance and whether the stairs are shared with the business below.

  • Do you do early morning or late evening moves?

We work from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. Where a street has a timed loading window or a building only allows removals outside trading hours, we book the slot to fit it rather than turn up and hope.

  • How small a job will you take?

One item is enough. A man and van is from £69 an hour with one man or £80 with two, with a two-hour minimum, which covers a desk, a bed, a few boxes or a single piece collected from a shop or a gallery.

  • Can you move a small office over a weekend?

Yes, that is when most of them happen. Up to ten desks starts from £240, ten to thirty desks from £2,300, and everything is labelled by desk so Monday morning starts with people working rather than hunting for monitors.

  • What if the van cannot park outside?

We work out the nearest legal place to load at the survey, and if there is none the council can suspend a bay or grant a dispensation. The fee and the notice period are the borough's, and we check the current ones before you apply.
